Eureka!! Ah
yes, ye ole prospector…victors and victims of the Gold
Rush days (1848-1855). The prospectors that headed to
California in hopes to discover the “Mother Lode” were
more or less responsible for the refinement of west
coast civilization. Small hamlets, like San Francisco,
turned into booming cities. Transportation was improved
and economies stimulated. Here, the towns of Lee Vining
and Mammoth Lakes are established today because of
original prospectors. Some left in early retirement,
some with empty pockets, while others stayed to promote
the now existing commerce. You’ll strike it rich with
your own Sierra discoveries and go home with a wealth of
memories! The room does not have a telephone or TV, so
it will not interfere with your enjoyment of the rustic
lodge experience. Wireless internet access is not
available inside the room, but it's available in the
registration lobby, business center, and restaurant.
